Rainforest Unit

We have been studying the Rainforest in depth the past few weeks and will be for additional week.  We have studied the layers of the rainforest, tried different rainforest foods, made rainforest mud (learned how to write instructions), and have written our rough drafts of our Rainforest reports with a topic sentence, three supporting details, and a closing statement.  We are now in the process of copying our rough drafts onto our final copy papers.  On Friday, we will be creating animals from the rainforest and hanging them up in our classroom.  Next week, the children will be making a Rainforest in a bottle and we will be making observations as we watch seeds grow in our "Rainforests."  Watch more for photos to be added!
